I have Bachelor's and Master's degrees in biological sciences. I've been a curriculum developer for K-12 and college-level biology instructor for more than twenty years.
In the course of my career as a biologist and science educator, I have worked with federal and state agencies, environmental consulting firms, corporations and nonprofits.
My content knowledge strengths include general biological concepts, ecosystem dynamics, energy transformations, solid waste and wastewater recycling.
I am a member of the National Association for Interpretation (NAI), recognized as the industry standard in science and environmental interpretation. I’m a lead instructor for UCANR California Naturalist Program, which I teach at Cuesta College in San Luis Obispo.
I have spent much of my life on the beautiful central coast of California. I'm a passionate birder and serve as Chair of the Morro Bay Winter Bird Festival. I look forward to working with you on your science and education projects!
